    2 Door Sti Coming to U.S?

    Or is this just another rumor..??

    Would love some feedback from Subaru/Non Subaru Sports Car enthusiasts...

    If so any spec details?

    I suspect it would be at least a year after the intro of the base model.

    I heard from a marketing guy a couple months ago that the initial Subie version would likely be on allocation to dealers, with perhaps only one or two per dealer. The quake hit their production hard, and at the time of the tsunami they were already selling everything they could make. They've got a long road ahead to make up the production backlog. It might also be that Toyota has delivery priority.

    I know there is a chance for a 2 door 216A- STI in 2012-2014, But Im asking about a core 2 door STI from Subaru?

    Any More Inputs??

    It is unknown at the moment what shape the car will take. Most think coupe however at the moment it is all speculation.

    I believe OP is asking whether Subaru will ever create a NON-joint production STI coupe (correct me if I'm wrong)? If so, then the question really doesn't have much to do with the Toyobaru (except maybe sharing similar body style/size). I doubt they will be the same power, drivetrain, or price. And no, I haven't heard any rumors about a true Subaru STI coupe. I HAVE heard people whining on NASOIC about wanting one, but no real evidence that SOA is considering making one.

    the subaru sti is based off the impreza which is a 4 door sedan... it is entirely unlikely that they will decide to make it a 2 door... the 216 sti (if they decide to make an sti version) will technically be a 2 door sti but the core sti will never be 2 door...

    not necessarily... maybe they will make a 2 door impreza

    a lot of coupes share their 4 door chassis
    accords, altimas, 3series, a4s, and so on
    maybe subaru will finally release another 2 door
    maybe not likely, but a possibility

    meh, I doubt it.. the evo and the sti are 4 door street rally cars, I doubt they would change the image... (mitsu might because they are scraping the LANCER evolution and going for a new evolution on another, possibly 2 door, model)
