    As bad as the new Impreza is, I think it still looks better than the new Legacy/Outback. What is with the styling of these new Subaru's? I really don't get what the theme is. Any ideas?

    I'm going to play devil's advocate. It seems like the design is similar to a civic to target the general public and not any specific tuners. I think they're all about maximizing profits and minimizing engine to save gas consumption since gas prices are through the roof. I guess eveyrone needs to find your own body kit to be unique. Give it time. Bug eyes, Pig snout, Hawk eyes, angry birds all grew on us.

    After all these weeks, i'm still laughing at the side profile.

    Holy fuck, thats just pathetic.

    They had a PR @ the NYAIS for this car, was hoping it would be the FT86/216a variant. Alas, it was the 2012 Impreza that will be over produced and undersold. Subaru is in a world of hurt when this is released. They honestly think sales will double with the model. Either its going to be $10k and redefine "Impreza" while the 216a steals the spotlight, or they are doomed.

    Im really scratching my head with this release, its horrid.

    I have an "06 Legacy wagon. Compared to my '06, the new Legacy is a big step backwards styling-wise. My girlfriend's mother has an '11 Outback (with the CVT, ugh) and the styling just doesn't cut it with me.

    Subarus lost their good subaruness in 08. Actually, I wouldn't buy any other Subaru besides either a 2004 or 2005 WRX or STi.
    well maybe a new Forester for dailying or something

    I agree. I have that WRX. It is awesome. No way would I give it up for some of the crap they've tried to peddle since.


    The impreza above does have a nicer profile than that civic though. They ruined the civic years ago, that current thing is hideous.

    I lol'd at eagle eye.

    I've always loved the hawkeye WRX. The 07 WRX STI is my dream car that I never got. They are Waaaay to over priced, now. You can't touch one with low miles for under 25k. For that price I can't pass up on buying a new vehicle, even if it is more boring. (Hence my 09 civic si...)

    Like you guys said - The new impreza looks really nice... for a DD. Other than that, I'll pass.
