Awsome purchase! Does the iPad come with an internet subscription? How fast are the browsing speeds?
I got the Wifi model so it comes without subsciption. You find or
provide your own wifi. It's pretty fast, however I wish it was a little faster. The sadest partis now my iPhone feels like puny toy. Either way, it's a good
investment for $500. I hope the prices come down though.
Is the software 4.0 or 3.1.3?

Yea, itd be good to wait. There is so much stuff that just irritates me with the iPad, however once worked out it will be awesome. Same story the iPhone went through.
What irritates you? I refused to buy an iphone till a few issues were fixed. (mms, better cam) now that I have one, I am smitten. I am going to follow the same strategy with the Ipad.

They are all solvable issues, but as expected it's the early adopter trade off I'm willing to deal with.
1. No camera
2. App store is crap, to find an app you must click "show more" a million times and then get kicked to the top apps after u download or view an app, causing you to start over.
3. No multitasking
4. No direct image import from iPhone
5. Book store lacks technical books
1. I think I could deal with this
2. Big no no
3. Hell no
4. Tsk tsk Apple
5. Technical books?
By the time I am able to go to grad school I hope like the Ipad will have fixed some of it's issues and is as awesome as the 3GS. $399 price point, with above issues taken care of, and it will be straight bomb.
