Announcement Toyota FT-86 Fan Demographics Poll - How old is the FT-86 Target Market?

Toyota FT-86 Fan Demographics Poll - How old is the FT-86 Target Market?

Its time to find out what the Toyota FT-86 market consists of...

If you have serious thoughts of purchasing the FT-86 or Subaru 216a / 086a variant then please vote!

Ill reserve my opinion until a few days/weeks. However I'm dead center in the target, just guessing

Your stats will probably be off as your scale doesn't go high enough. I'm 75.

exactly as I suspected, I think the article driving this poll was bogus or misinformed.

That or Toyota doesn't understand what it has built and so their urge to push it off to their primary market of older consumers is kicking in.

I have no doubt older drivers will like this car, i just don't think it's the correct target.

The engine claim if true at all is bogus from Toyota. Unless they are putting in their own powerplant.

Exactly. Hell the Celica sold to an older crowd and it had some of the most boy racers styling ever.

With all due respect you should not take this poll into too much consideration when trying to figure out the "actual" age of people interested in this car. All you figured out was that most people on this particular website are in their late teens/into their 20s. Last I learned from a few years ago was that Toyota had a 40-ish demographic as buyers and drivers and were trying to push younger (and came the introduction of Scion of course). They're probably using that as a base and don't want to shoot too low.

True enough, however its self evident the fact that the site exists purely on speculation. I created this site back in 07, so, Toyota has touched my generation and I feel I am the target at 29.

Not to disrespect the young-ens, but there really is no new car market for 18-24 these days. Organizations which wield to the stock market simply please the white wigs running ship. The car can inspire a demographic later in life, the 240sx is evidence of that. When I bought my first 240sx in 1994 it was considered a chicks car

Mostly because it got chicks. HA

Agreed with the age for the most part. While I probabaly could afford a 24K it would be not a smart decision on my part.

I'm 21, and I own a 240sx (180sx cause I live in NZ and its JDM), not to be bragging (well maybe just a little, cause I love it :P), but I'm proud if it, bought it as a rolling body (without wheels) and built it ground up, as proof that anyone can do this, I've had no mechanical training, none of my family members are into cars... so its wounder what you can achieve when you don't have much money and a DIY attitude oh and GOOGLE of course (prob the most important part... I didn't pay a mechanic or pannel beater a single cent, (besides getting warrants, and certs), OH and Might I add it drives lol (well too)

I'm old but still love the driving thrills and going through the gears, I'll be happy driving either one and can't wait for the final product !

Old enough that I was playing with a 1987 ae-86 when most of you were in diaper.

Hmmm, good point. Scion is a chick car.

    This isn't helping my ego...
