Personally, I'd take the LSD and a sunroof. Just because factory brakes should be enough for daily driving and the occasional track day. However and LSD would be nice to have over and open differential and no sunroof because handling is more important than a little window above you. Sadly my 240 is a base with no sunroof or VLSD, but I love it for what it is.

The end saying is, you can change anything on the car for the money, so long as Toyota makes the car I'm sure we will all be happy. =D

But I'll end up getting the car with a sunroof just because I like to tilt it open for pictures. (I loved the way my old '98 Prelude looked when I did that.)

I would love to have leather seats. Personally I will use this vehicle as a daily driver and I dont want to feel like im sitting on a piece of concrete which is commonly associated with lowered sports vehicles.

Haha yeah, if I had more money I'd make that thing a drift car and keep the Ft-86 as a daily. xD

(Mostly because aftermarket parts for this thing will be high for a while after it comes out.)

Bitchslaps are in order for anyone who welds an F-86's diff.

You can get away with it on a 2k$ cheap rwd drift car, but even then it's idiotic.

    Agreed.

When I said cheap I meant like a kaaz/nismo 1.5/2 way diff. I would not weld my diff.

Yeah, I'll stick with the S15's helical LSD over a welded diff. And I can find one for like $300ish.

Yeah, soon as I get a few more spare dollars I'll end up getting the diff so I can finally ditch the open diff. =)

I already have some work on mine.. Tokico blues and Eibach springs. It's not my style to go so cheap but it's how I got the car, and it works for now. For me I have to fix the KA's timing tensioner. It rattles when I start up. Stupid plastic piece rotted away. But after that I'm looking for a diff!

I have megan lowering springs on stock struts. Not my idea. It came like that. I am buying rucas next week and saving up for coils. That piece of plastic is easy. Just remove the valve cover and boom its right there.

It's that easy? Just take of the valve cover and you can see it?

Wait no, I was tired when I wrote that. I thought you were talking about the timing guide.

What you are talking about is a bit more difficult.

    Here is a writeup.

I've read that one before. It looks like a PITA!
Hopefully it's something else instead, because I don't feel like taking the engine apart that much. My luck is that I'd put it back together wrong or need a part after its taken apart! =O

Hopefully it is just the timing guide and not the tensioner. If it is the timing guide then it will be what I said.

The less options the less weight and the faster I can go! 1.5 way clutch-type LSD would be nice; if not then don't bother, I'll go aftermarket.

That would be an awesome option from the dealer, though I doubt it will happen.

I finally ended up voting diff, as brakes, eh I just could throw on some slotted brembos SS lines and call it a day. A diff though, yea, I want one of those.

I don't suppose "superior steering feel" is an available option?

Among the options in the poll, I voted LSD. Ideally a clutch-pack [and ideally an OS Giken], as that is the style that pairs best with rear-drive, IMO.

I'd take the proper LSD - it makes a rear wheel drive car ...

And I'd like the option of a stripped out and cheapo ClubSport version, so you can fit all the brakes, seats, exhausts etc you want.

Plus, it would have to have a nice thin black MOMO three-spoke steering wheel.
