Toyota Concept Car Appears In Social Network Racer

    Has anyone tried this yet?
I noticed the car on the billboard and banner, but how does it

Toyota Concept Car Appears In Social Network Racer
After the announcement of HTML5 and Flash Player 11, a lot of companies have been exercising their creativity to make use of the new technological advancements. One of those companies is an unlikely candidate for using the new web software for 3D gaming, and that company happens to be Toyota.

The Japanese car manufacturer announced today that a new Facebook-based racing game is on the way called Social Network Racer featuring their newest concept car, and it’s a 3D multiplayer racing game powered by Flash Player 11.

Surprisingly enough, the game looks pretty good to be browser based and to not have to load. It uses your Facebook settings to help bring the atmosphere to life, and the racing itself is something that’s maybe a step higher than what you would be able to play on the original PSX.

Gamers will be able to test drive an unreleased Toyota concept car on a winding, fast-paced track through a bright and vibrant urban cityscape.

Toyota will be hosting events and competitions, including a global Championship Race that will see gamers the world around competing for a free trip to Japan where the winner will be rewarded with a very special prize.

Social Network Racer will become available to the public starting tomorrow, October 19th, at 11:00pm PST and it will be available up until December 31st of this year. A new video trailer of the game can be viewed below to get an idea of what it's like.

This next website states that someone could win a trip to meet the designer

Production Subaru BRZ and Toyota FT-86 To Debut In Tokyo, Toyota Launches Facebook Game - Automotive.com News
This is it. This is the last time. We swear. No more concepts after this. It’s the real thing. Honest. Don’t believe us?

That’s what Toyota and Subaru are saying to the legions of supporters, strung along by years of concept after frustrating concept, and eager to see the production FR-S and BRZ sports cars in the flesh. Well, the anticipation draws nearer to a close, they say. Wait for Tokyo: because that’s when the big unveil happens next month.

November 30, at the 42nd biannual Tokyo Motor Show, to be specific: that’s when the showroom-ready FT-86 will make its debut. Toyota will still label it a concept, but in name only. Alongside it—or across the hall, anyway—will be Subaru’s BRZ, this time made of something more substantial than clear plastic Coke bottles. Despite sharing a chassis and engineering, both cars will differentiate themselves: the Subaru will pack all-wheel-drive and more power, while Toyota is aiming for a curb weight less than 2500 pounds. Both cars feature a Subaru-derived boxer four-cylinder engine, six-speed manual and automatic gearboxes, and a limited-slip differential.

And to promote the already hotly-anticipated FT-86, Toyota is launching a Facebook game to promote it: the succinctly-named “Social Network Racer” brings full 3D graphics and Adobe Flash compatibility, and allows fans to race against their friends with personalized information drawn from their Facebook pages. Race winners earn points, modify their virtual FT-86s, and if they hone their skills enough, they can even win a trip to Japan for the TOYOTA Gazoo Racing Festival and meet the FT-86’s designer. Not bad for wasting time on Facebook.
