    Twisty road

What twisty road are you going to take your FRS/BRZ on first?

For me if the car releases before I move its first twisty road might be
    US Rt. 129 The Dragon

I want to ride the dragon, but it is far from here. .

Edit: plus I don't know of any twisty roads that don't have like 9 million state patrol posted.

Gotta tell ya man, the dragon is over rated and is patrolled way too much. I hit it up a few times on my gsxr 750 and the corners are too tight and too close to really be enjoyed in a car not to mention pretty steep and the FR-S doesnt have enough power for that, mabey the downhill but again the corners are very very close to one another. Blue rock road is nice as is many of the roads in that area and are not as high profile.
If you're ever near Red River Gorge there is a road called Daniel Boon that is 11 miles of twisties, take a right at the end and you get another 9 miles of ribbon. Then you drive back

I found 129 to be pretty fun as long as you didnt hit any traffic to slow you down and the whole time i was there i never saw one cop so maybe I had a lucky day. I also thought Fontana road was pretty fun as you drive down towards the damn. I disagree with your statment of the FRS not having enough power to climb 129 my car is way under the FRS' power range and weighed down with with an extra 100+lbs of crap cause i was moving stuff to another house and it did just fine.

As much as people talk about the dragon's tail I figure it would be a filed day for cops. I have never really driven anything twisty so I would be up for anything.

I went to the Tail of the Dragon back in 2010. I got there around 8am, ran until ~1pm. There was only one cop. Around noon a lot more people started to show up and it got way too crowded. Its the most fun I had at 45mph though.

There is road near me that is VERY twisty. Its near the Scion dealer too. When I go for a test drive I will be taking that road

The Tail is great, if you wanna drive fast just wait until 5pm, All the cops clear out until the next morning. Midnight blasts on 129 are great, but you have to be super careful on 28 (the Hellbender) when the fog rolls in its wet and super dangerous. Two people of my Saturn forum rolled there cars on 28, the speeds you can get to on there make it far more dangerous then the Dragon IMOP.

Also the Skyway is another great road to visit while your out there. Its only 16 miles South East of the Dragon.

Myles Standish State Forest in Plymouth MA, Jerusalem Rd. in Cohasset MA, Hurricane Mountain Rd. in North Conway NH, and the Kancamangus Hwy in NH. Does a hill climb count as a "windy road"? If so you can count Mt. Ascutney and Okemo on that list

Ooh, ooh! And I wanna bomb down Storrow Drive and the Jamaica Way in Boston.

I wonder if the cops actually mess with people considering what the tail is known for.

Mess with how? If you mean just pulling people over for road violations, then yes, yes they do... Ask me how I know.

I imagine then they must have a field day. What did they get you for?

I really have to try this one day.

Ok So here is Me on the Hellbender, that connects to the Dragon. And below is A cruse up the dragon, Its 21 minuets long but it shows you every twist and turn that the road has to offer.

BTW the first is taken with a Hero cam on the back window. There may be some Initial D music in there... The second Vid was taken with my cell phone.

The poor guy who went under the trailer died a the week before I went there in 2011. Real sad, and the road was still stained... But I LOVE that place. It is by far my favorite place.
