Announcement Vote needed for FT-86! Digg Dialogg: Jim Lentz President Toyota US.

An Interview with Jim Lentz - Digg Dialogg

You will have to search the comments for my post, search for Toyobaru. Digg my question when you find it.

I know this is related to the recall of the sticky pedals, but as I always say. Don't ask, don't get!

Toyota wants to hear from you – submit and vote up questions below!

With the recent controversy surrounding the Toyota vehicle recall, Jim Lentz, President and Chief Operating Officer of Toyota Motor Sales, USA, will answer the Digg community’s top questions for a very timely and topical live Digg Dialogg. He will be sitting down with Digg to provide perspective on what happened, what they’re doing about it and what consumers need to know about the recall.

Submit and Digg questions from now until Monday, February 8th at 8am PT to decide which will be asked in this exclusive interview.
    My questions:
We would like to hear every single bit of information on the Toyota FT-86.

    1. What will it be called?
    2. Released as Toyota or Scion in US?
    2. When will it be released?
    3. How much will it cost?
    4. Will Subaru release a FT-86 variant?
    5. Will a TRD or G's edition be released with a Turbocharged version?

    Thanks!

I don't understand how those questions can be at the bottom, but "what do you drive?" is near the top.

One good question with a lot of digs.

It has been years since Toyota had a sports car (Supra) available for sale in North America.
Are there any plans to bring back the Supra or come out with a new afordable sports car?

    Question:
It has been years since Toyota had a sports car (Supra) available for sale in North America. Are there any plans to bring back the Supra or come out with a new affordable sports car?

    Answer:
Well, I have good news and bad news. First the bad news, we don't have plans to bring back the supra into the market again. But the good news in terms of an affordable sports car. We have a concept vehicle we have been showing at the global showings, called the FT-86 and its a joint effort product between Subaru and Toyota, and the Product will be coming to Market. Unfortunately I cannot say just when that will take place. Stay tuned for new announcements later this year.

Well there goes the nail in the coffin for all you supra fans.

Subaru needs to go ahead and release a concept already.

Its to bad about the Supra, I think that market still exists. The GT-R while a slightly different class of car has done rather well even through the down economy. Someday the Supra will return.

    Until then FUCK YEA FT86!!!
