    Cool You Guys Remember This?

This concept was unveiled in 2003 when Subaru was going with that Alfa Romero-esk front end. Was this a foreshadow of things to come? When the new concept is unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show, I wonder how closely it will resemble that above pic?

If you take out the Alfa Romero front end, it looks a bit like some of the concept renderings going around.

Yeah E, this was from 2003. At the time, Subaru was throwing around talks of making a high end soprts car using a B6 as the base motor and going twin turbo!

Turns out it was just a pipe dream. I just thought it was really interesting to see that this concept may be very similar to what we'll see in a month at Geneva.

Because that's when they had an Alfa Designer at the time... Look at the 06 Impreza and Tribeca front end. The three grills that look like an aircraft is supposed to represent Subaru/Fuji Industries past involvement with making planes.

This new Alfa Romeo Giulietta is one cool car. I am very interested in it and will see what Dodge does to it for their American version coming out maybe in 2012.

The rear door handle is hidden and recessed but it's still there. Very peppy 1.6L Fiat-inspired economical Multi-Aire engine in this car, too. Very interested in this car for potential purchase. Slow to get them to Seattle area-dealers, though.

This car handles like a dream, or so they tell me. Get this puppy over here, please!

My guess is the new Suby will look nothing like that considering they fired the guy that did that design and ran away from the Alfa style grill as fast as they possibly could. lol.

Lol, it looks like the previous designers at Subaru were getting lazy to come up with something new and innovative to inspire their consumers so they just flat out copied the blue prints off of another car manufactures' famous models. Shame, shame.
