Whats up guys, new member from Calgary. Just counting down the days till my dealer gives me the keys.
If your second , your last
So I talked to my buddy at Southpoint Scion here in Calgary. he said they were told by Toyota that pricing for the GT model (apparently only two trim levels will be offered with GT being the loaded trim) will come in at $30,500 CAD.
Not bad, but not fair imo. The other cars in this segment can be had for about 25k. what do you guys think of this?
If your second , your last
I'm also from calgary, 30k is honestly too much money.. if it sat at 28K all in.. taxes fees interest (assuming finanicing) etc etc then i think that might be a fair price. with that said.. i can't wait to test drive the car. Currently i'm in an evo x.. grip is fun.. but i think i might want to slide around...in a daily driver.. should be much better gas milage as well.. 200km per tank is a bit much lol...
Someone else said that their sad about race city.. honestly your not missing much.. the road course isn't all that great anyways. stratotech imo is more challenging. Also there are many Auto x clubs in the area. Southern Alberta solo sport club, RDSCC , CSCC. out of the years ive been active RDSCC is my fave. Friendly people. Efficent, cost effective events.
pss.. there is also a super cool road course just south west of the boarder in WA
hmm finding the name... "The Ridge Motorsports Park" http://www.ridgemotorsportspark.com/
RDSCC will be holding an event there mid summer.. i believe.. when i get more info i'd be happy to pass it along.

No, just bull$hit manuf markup. Because even though both currencies are at par, is costs SO MUCH MORE to ship a car from Japan to Canada, than it does to the U.S.
Yet it still exists with N.A. built cars too. Even with NAFTA in effect, prices on either side are never equal. Since the crash of 2008, it's actually more profitable for a Canadian to buy a car from a U.S dealership, than the exact same car from a Canadian dealership, even with Federal taxes, conversion costs, etc.
