Clears the brakes and doesn't stick out miles past the fender? lol

Until we know what the stock wheel numbers are, we won't know what numbers we need for a good fitment

Offset is both a much under-rated and massively abused way of fooling with your stance - the rims should never extend beyond the bodywork in my view. I took off the stock ET48 rims off my S and slapped on some OZ Racing Ultraleggeras with ET37 for the perfect alignment with the bodywork.

    Ultraleggera goodness from OZ...

(and they even come in gold if you're that way inclined).

Ultra-light, strong, and plenty of space for your brakes.

17x8.5 or 17x9 Enkei RPF1s.. no better track wheel for the price. Hoping I can fit wider RS-3s (245/40/17) on it as well.

Someone measured the tires and said they are 5x100, but they couldn't get the offset. With a lot of the underparts being Impreza I'm guessing a +55, so your WRX and Impreza aftermarkets should work.

The Hubs however are not interchangeable without some modding.

Ill keep the stock wheel and put some blizzaks on them. Id upgrade to an 18x9 most likely with a little bit of a lip. Probably some 225 45 18 rubber. nothing too crazy.

I guess a lot of ya'll don't know: According to D Sport the FRS is going to have the subary 5x100 bolt pattern. Luckily Greddy is making a hub conversion to the popular 5x114.3 It looked. The Greddy frs looked flush at 19x9.5 +35 I think. If my CST BOYZ aka jdm battles fit I'll slip them in first at 17x9.5 +15

My dream is to have Volk te37 super laps or some Work CR Kai's with a little bit of poke and maybe i'd powder coat the Kai's Takata green or hot pink or neon orange on the grayish FRS. This is one car I want to go all out haha. My s14 is all OEM and I wanna rice at least one car out in this lifetime.

    i'll get the volks TE37,

these are, in my opinion, the best wheels on the market for daily and track use (without going into custom 3 piece spun units with carbon centers and shit like that)

i'll also probably stay within the 225 tire range so a 16X8 would be optimal.

    and some RS3's, muahaha

have they confirmed that the car will come staggered OEM? (215/225)

Id like to use my SSR Competitions on mine, 18x8 +48 (before spacers). If not, probably something thats concave. Since it wont be my daily, I have no problem running a staggered setup.

i traded a set of xxr's for a set of re-drilled vmr vb3's for my s14 (from 5x120 to fit 5x114). i think i'd do the same thing for the fr-s. vmr offers 5x112 pcd so it wouldn't take too much to get them to fit on the 5x100 hub. but that's just me, i'm a sucker for concaved v-spoke rims.

Prodrives, Enkies, or Motegi wheels depending on what I want to spend. Volks are awesome but are a dime a dozen and going up in price constantly. My biggest requirement is weight I want to shed weight as much as possible on the car and will not consider anything over 17lbs.

sizing we be 17x8 or 17x8.5 depending on if I want to do fender work and what size tire I want to run. I actually want the car to remain tail happr so I probably wont go wider then 8inch

I just went through 46 pages of this on FT86club.com, and I think my current favorite is the Enkei RS05RR:

Followed by something like this ADV10-1:

I just know it's gotta be silver and ~10-spoke with a relatively low offset

I wonder if my current R32 wheels will fit on the BRZ/FR-S. They are 5x100 35mm offset 18" running 225 40 RE11s. Anyone think they know?

I will use the stock wheels for winter. I may run the stock wheels and tires all summer and save money for a year. I will put some snow tires on the stock wheels in the fall. I am considering going with separate summer and track wheels and tires. If budget is a concern, these will be one in the same. For summer or track, light weight and strength are the most important attributes for me. I will probably shoot for 225/45R17 or 235/40R17 tires and stay close to stock offset so that scrub radius is changed very little. Steering is supposed to be one of the best attributes of the FRS/BRZ, and keeping close to stock offset and tire size will preserve that feel. 17 inch wheels save weight vs. 18 inch wheels, and the taller sidewall of the tire can help with the suspension. Also, 17 inch wheels and tires tend to be less expensive.

My favorite budget wheels are the previously mentioned Enkei racing wheels (several varieties to choose from) and the OZ Alleggerita HLT. Both of these choices are among the lightest and strongest available without going to a forged wheel.
Enkei Wheels - Racing Series Wheels
OZ Racing - I-Tech - ALLEGGERITA HLT - light alloy wheels, coloured rims

If I manage to have more money, I like the Volk Racing RE37 wheels already mentioned, but may go with Forgeline GA1R or HRE R40 because they are made in the USA and are very high quality as well. One piece forged seems a good bet for weight, strength and performance.
