    Newb

Im horrible with introductions so Ill make it quick.

My name is Morgan. I currently drive an '03 Acura CL-S 6MT with some work done. Im somewhat of a wheel whore. I like to drive fast. Ive been lusting for a lightweight, two door, RWD car for a while now. Im still not sure if I want the Scion or Subaru version, but Im leaning toward the Scion - I like the front bumper on the Scion compared to the Subbie version.

    Anyway, thats it for now.

Thanks guys, heres how my CL looked as of last March:

Its got some work done to it, most importantly being a 3.6l stroker motor. It put down 294/275 at the wheels last december without a tune, pulling ignition timing up top, and running rich (~11.2:1).

Ive recently upgraded from my old 2.5" exhaust to custom long tube, equal length headers and a full 3" exhaust. Im revisiting the intake manifold design, upgrading the fuel system, and getting it tuned on the EMS. As far as asthetics go, Im currently in winter mode:

    But upcoming:
-18x8 SSR Competitions, I was hoping they would clear my BBK but thats not the case, so Ill be running a custom 7mm hub centric(to both car and wheels) spacer
    -Possibly lip kit
-Possibly respray, the clear coat failed on the roof
-One-off LED taillights, keeping OEM appearances
-And I need to finally finish my new retrofit

Its a comfortable daily that handles well for a 3400lb boat and has enough power to get out of its own way. It definitely surprises some people though

When I get the FR-S, Ill probably just stick to suspension, wheels, BBK, intake, header, and exhaust. But I say that with every car I own and the next thing I know the engine is in pieces on the work bench

If you want any specifics on it, let me know.

That is a nice sleeper. How much power are you expecting once you tune it?

With the intake, exhaust and a proper tune Im hoping for ~320 at the wheels. Not incredible numbers, but impressive for a J series without boost. I should have everything on the car and tuned by the middle of February.

That is going to be a nice sleeper. I will give it to Honda for being able to make power on their NA engines. I wish they would build a V8 I bet it would dominate the LS series.

    Thanks.

When it was a mostly stock 3.2l (just headers and intake) I put down 236/209 at the wheels. Its definitely come a long way in the torque department, especially for a Honda

Damn! That's some nice power for that car. I think you're definitely due for a RWD car

2013 Subaru BRZ Limited 6MT - on order
    2012 Audi S4 6MT - company lease, baby!
    1987 Toyota MR2 - 20v blacktop screamer
    1973 Datsun 240Z - highway monster project

Absolutely. When Im on the winter wheels, first and second is useless, it just spins. On the summer tires, when theyre up to temp, I have to be really gentle in first but I can got WOT in second. It starts to lose traction up top a bit, but only for a split second. This car would have been much faster then it is if it were RWD.

what's your suspension setup like, 350 HP for a car your weight shouldn't be a problem

need some custom dampers to control your launches

I have AMR coilovers with custom spring rates. I also have 75A polyurethane engine mounts, three torque dampeners (the ingalls stiffy up top and two NRG dampeners from the block to the subframe) and polyurethance radius rod bushings. Ive eliminated all wheel hop, it just spins.
