Best Car is know for wild speculation, and so this fits snugly on their latest offering from April 2010. In this latest press of the japanese magazine features a modified version of the Toyota FT-86, dubbed the "FT-86F".
Details are limited at this point, but they will emerge soon. Rumor goes, the "F" variant would be offered between the base FT-86 and the track model, or "G" (Gazoo Racing) edition.
This is a hard pill to swallow, considering the images are modified images from the initial FT-86 images released in October 2009. No doubt if a Toyota model does come with factory turbo it could receive a hood scoop to accommodate a top mount intercooler. The FT-86F is rumored to have a modified hood, massive air-intakes on the front bumper, side air vents, larger wing, and center-mounted exhaust tips.
Not a good direction if you ask us. Fortunately this is positively wild speculation, and the photoshops are some of the weakest we have seen. Does the "F" stand for Fail? Maybe, however lets hope that its the leading trail to some tangible Subaru 086a / 216a news.
