    How does December 2011 sound?

We all want to know when we can buy one of these right? Well, I freqeuntly look here and across the internets for such info. I found this article today and it's about 23 hours old. Similar vague info but... with a date! Popular Mechanics article, data sources not mentioned, reliability unknown. My hopes are high! What do you think? To good to be true?

Anyone else thinks volkswagen is retarded for pricing out that golf at 32K? That is STI, b, BMW, 370z territory. IMO they should have d-etuned it to 220hp taken out some flash and dropped it to 23K.

Agreed. VW's ain't great really. Only a few cars (not counting porsche) really worth owning. A tdi jetta (40+ mpg and actual room in the car) and r8 come to mind.

Did you notice that they had also claimed 2 engines for this car? That the subaru should have 250 hp? I think I'll be waiting a wee bit longer on my purchase. I hope they drop the STI plate on it right off, but I doubt that.
Anyone car to donate to the "Guy Wants a New Subaru Fund?" I accept paypal.

Its already been stated the car wont be here until Spring 2012, even that is pushing it with the recent delays in Japan after the earthquake. Now, we will likely see the final production units at Tokyo Motor Show.

I don't expect it any sooner that that either. With the delays I would think late spring, mid April early May. I am excited about the Tokyo Motor show. Four long months.

    ^Welcome

They probably get their info from rumors, blogs, the sky.
