I hope that giant rear "Scion" badge doesn't make it into production, or else mine's going to the body shop in the first week and getting it filled/painted over. Those mirrors won't make it to production either; they would probably house backup cameras which I doubt would be a production option.

As for people traveling to dealerships for good service, it does indeed happen. There is a dealership in Idaho which pulls people from over 14 hours away due to there service and reputation (impressive, actually).

That would no doubt be Dave Smith Motors here in Kellogg, ID, where I live. The prices for a new Dodge here will save you so much money that your airline ticket and hotel still won't push the price over reasonableness. You'll still save money. It's internet-driven.

I highly doubt it will make it over. The wheels, ride height, roof line, side mirrors, and conjoined fender/bumper are all going IMO.

I wish we had places like that here. I don't trust any stealership around.

Dave Smith sells more Dodge's than any dealer in the world, here in this little northern Idaho panhandle town. And he is the Pacific NW's largest GM dealer as well, and the world's 3rd largest GM dealer. Too bad he doesn't sell Mitsubishi, my favorite car, or Toyota/Scion. He continues to grow, so who knows. Dave Smith himself was killed in a scuba-diving accident about 7 years ago. His sons continue on with the dealership. A salesman there makes about $143 a sale and must work 6 days a week, 12 hours a day. Something tells me further probing would reveal that salespeople could earn bonuses on sales, too.

BTW-they found the body of 53 year old Larry Marek at the Hecla Mine in Mullan, ID. He didn't stand a chance but no doubt didn't have to feel much pain before he went, so that's good. He was about a mile down.

$143 a sale? How do they live on that. They have to bust ass to survive.

shoot, that's a sale 4 out of 5 days a week for over 30k a year. at the prices and service, they may actually do pretty well for themselves (50+K).
