    More BRZ Teaser Photos

As the Frankfurt motor show draws nearer Subaru has released more teaser photos of the BRZ concept. Along with these photos Subaru has also released information on the car itself, saying it will have a 101 inch, a lengthy of 165 inches, 50 inches tall and being 69.7 inches wide. Motortrend compares these specs to the Porsche Cayman and Audi TT. Saying it is very similar although "it will sit lower and have shorter overhangs than either of those two."

Guys, with those wheels and now that spoiler. I think they're trying to point us at the mule with the same low spoiler as the Subaru version.

Nemesis, you are so way off base with this....I still think it's a toss up as to which mule is which

I think this car is a front engine car. What happened to "pushing the engine as close to the firewall as possible?"

You can CLEARLY see the engine is almost ALL in front of the shock towers. This is not even close to a true front mid car. LAME!!

I think in December, I'll probably be able to nix this car and push 400+ whp out of my mr2. No reason to buy a rwd impreza.

I was just saying that the other day. But, the one thing we can't see from these teaser photos is how low the engine is sitting in the car.

Easy Easy the front end has a design feature for multiple engine swaps, I wouldnt want it to close to the firewall anyways, because the heat, also 3-5 inchs isnt that much of a deal anyways!

250-260 whp at 14 psi. Have not dyno'd it, but that's very typical of a 20g'd mr2. Mine is lighter because I swapped a gen 2 into a sunroofed (hardtop i guess you'd call it) over the normal t-top'd car with leather and dual 8" subs. Mine has no subs, no ac, no ps, no cruise, single exit exhaust, no spare/jack, etc. Should be about 2650 lbs or so, where a 91 turbo was about 2800 lbs. Ran 14.0 at 101.7 mph with a uber sucky 2.2 sixty foot. My clutch doesn't like hard launches (stock), so it's not as fast as it should be. Should be a low 13 second car. I have a pfc, injectors, tubular exhaust manifold and 3.5" intake (vs stock flap door style afm), which should put me to 295-310 whp or ~350 hp at the flywheel. Would probably kill the clutch though. Gonna wait for this to drop and figure out what I'm going to do. Got alot of personal stuff to work around.

Same here, but you've got it set up pretty hot . . . Kudos. I ask because i was curious how it handles the power and how you think it would handle the extra. I'm looking to get an Mr2 and i'm just curious about how it runs . . .

Runs good, but it would run better with my already tuned pfc (uninstalled). Waaaay too much fuel with a bored rail, ats fpr and walbro fuel pump on a stock ecu. A rom tune would work, but I'm going to jump to 540cc 3rd gen injectors going in with a pfc. Only bolt on left is a intake manifold really, but have all stock internals. It's good for 350 whp or so.

It handles the power easily, but I'm running 215 F and 255 R tires. Going to bump to 235 F and 275 R when I get the fenders rolled. I can turn faster than my liking on public roads, if that's what you're asking. Stock springs/struts/all suspension bits, but poly bushings all around. Suspension is descent stock, but I'm gonna get some KW v3's, if I don't go with the ft86. Been saving for over six months. Mr2's are pretty cheap for how much performance you can get. Just don't have much trunk space, even though I have 2 of them! LOL.

I have been building this car legal for both street and street class time attack. I'm just very busy with some personal stuff right now. Nothing like having a real street legal, track car. I'm tempted to switch to the ft, but IDK if I want to mod a car so new.

I see your dilemma, but either way you look at it you win. Street/track sw20 putting out ~350 or a brand new FT w/ unknown potential . . .I wouldn't mind being stuck like that.
Your sw20 sounds ill though, hopefully once i get one i can get it there. Thanks for sharing.
