    Thumbs up Subaru BRZ on Display at CES (Consumer Electronics Show) in Vegas

    While the Subaru BRZ is on display at the Detroit Auto Show it will also be on display at the 2012 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas on Jan 10th! Thats two BRZ's stutting their grits on american soil. If you're in Vegas, go!



    CHERRY HILL, N.J., Jan. 6, 2012 -- /PRNewswire/ -- Subaru of America Inc. announced today that the production version of its all-new, rear-wheel drive 2013 Subaru BRZ sports car will be on display at the 2012 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, January 10th through the 13th. This will be Subaru's first appearance at CES. The BRZ will add a new product line to the hot Subaru brand, which announced its fourth consecutive year of sales growth and a new all-time vehicle sales record for 2011.

    Autoshow I get. CES seems weird for a car.

    Right? If it were hybrid then maybe. BRZ is not consumer electronics.

    It seems Toyota and Subaru have gone Wonka by created the everlasting marketeer. Has to be among the most painful development in automotive history, at least for the consumer.

    Seems like the companies are just whoring the cars at any show that will take them.

    Making the car this public brings up another concern. Difficulty of buying a first gen. I've yet to get on to a waitlist because until I see them up close how will I truly know, however, at the rate they are making the push, the common consumer that hasn't been following this car may start snapping them up.

    Sometimes you need strong marketing in the oddest places to grab the public's attention. I wouldn't be surprised if this car was at the American Comic Conventions (COMICON) and made into a superhero's car.
