Toyota FT-86 II and Subaru BRZ from Frankfurt Auto Show

Monkey Ass Red is back on the refreshed Toyota FT-86 II Concept set to debut at the Frankfurt Auto Show today. Its not clear if anything else has changed. We will update this thread as we learn more through the day.

The Subaru BRZ you ask? Well its still in a "technology concept", as promised from Subaru. Thanks Subaru, we've never seen a Boxer engine before!

The engine is too far forward. It will be interesting to see what the exact weight and weight distribution will end up being.

That back seat looks like it's gonna be very small. The last pic shows the passenger's head up against the glass with legs all cramped! LOL

Did I mention, we want to see real figures toyota? This is just another BS tease.

I wanted to go to Frankfurt (about 3 hours by car for me) but no way.
I have already seen that at Geneva...

Wait, where is Wonder Woman? I think she might be here to show the new BRZ?

The FT86 II newer mack up has LED and side holes vs the cleaner scion frs in NY. I actually like the FRS better than this FT86II concept.

    Still a concept?

Waiting for the production model is like looking for the mythical unicorn.

Hopefully we'll see something at Tokyo Auto Show.

I want white, but again, either 260 hp NA or any turbo model at all. Otherwise, I'll build the mr2.

I will have to wait for both and then decide, but I'm willing to bet Subaru will have the most performance and least bit of bs, so probably the BRZ. I will panda it off the lot probably. It'll be with carbon fiber. Gotta find a good source though. Can't take away the warranty for hoods, fenders, hatch! We'll see though, cause if there is a whiff of a turbo model, I'll wait for it. Too much speculation right now. I'm a intake manifold, cams w/springs, clutch/cv joints and injectors away from 350+ whp on pump and 400+ whp on e85 on the mr2. So if I gotta wait for a turbo (2 years or so from this summer), I'll be rocking the mr2.

nice, but yea im sure a lot of those parts wont be available for few months at least after it is released. ... n what does a warranty on the hood and fender cover? what could go wrong with them?

Well, paint, etc from full coverage, but it won't void the warranty. I'm going to mod the hell out of it, but I want to keep the warranty for as long as possible. Nothing like taking your car in for fixes without paying. I don't plan on having to bring it in, but who knows what will go wrong with such a new car. I'm still under the impression though that Toyota combined with Subaru won't let it out without giving it a thrashing and fixing most, if not every bug.

Fuck Yeah Toyota! • definemotorsports: The elder meets the newcomer ...

It's just when you add black to a white car, two-toned. There isn't a specific way or parts. Using carbon fiber just makes it easy. I might paint the CF parts black. The AE86 was one of the most "panda'd" car in Japan back in the day. I think it all started really though, when people were just replacing their stock parts with junkyard parts and they thought black, being more neutral, would look better than another color. Until it actually became a style. Kinda like flat black.
