Angry Toyota FT-86 is missing from the 2010 New York International Auto Show

As expected, the Toyota FT-86 is missing from the 2010 New York International Auto Show (NYIAS). After its debut in Europe at the the Geneva International show It makes us wonder, just where the FT-86 is headed right now? Once again the US will have to wait for its official FT-86 debut. Toyota is possibly hesitant to move back into the limelight in America thanks to the recent Gas Pedal recalls.

So where might we see the FT-86 in the USA? Let us know what you think! The major players for Auto shows generally wrap up for the summer, leaving us to wait until 2011 until the next big International Auto show. One to hope for is the LA Auto Show Nov 17-28th 2010, long time away. Its possible Toyota could look into other more enthusiast oriented shows. Time will tell.

I'm betting it had everything to do with the brake/unintended acceleration issues. Toyota is still waiting for those issues to cool off and doesn't want hate for those issues to be transferred to their "baby".

I think it is because the concept is still too concepty. I have a feeling the next time we see the FT-86 it will not be called such and be very close to the production model if.

Lol no NY love? That picture is funny. I think i'll pretend this car is just a figment of our imaginations. At least bring it to the LA auto show.

Well, well, not a very nice move.
Maybe they put the "prototype" in the museum in Japan and intend to "mobilize" the workforce to start up the production line ?!
After all as I saw and heard in one of the videos a Japanese spokes person for Toyota claimed that in case of positive feedback they will do everything possible to get this car into production as soon as possible.
We will have to wait and see, which is of course the most painful thing to do . Anyway, hatred aside fellas. It will worth waiting (in my opinion).

Maybe the production version will make its world-wide debut at the LA show in November. How cool would that be????
