Toyota wants to build a RWD Hatch!

Sorry guys been way out of the loop but I've been keeping my eyes open. According to Autocar Toyota wants to build a RWD hatch to commorate Naruse who recently died during testing of the LFA at the Ring. This is good news IMO. A RWD coupe and a RWD hatch in Toyota's line-up would definitely do a lot for the brand.

The end of the article (and the source) say it might release in 2012, "ahead" of the FT-86, when we heard previously that the FT-86 was due for a Fall 2011 launch. I guess I should stop playing "spot the release date error" until I actually SEE it in my dealer's lot...

Oh man, you can't be serious, this is fabulous news, a RWD hatch based on the Aigo!!! That would be fabulous. Did I say that already? A couple of years ago Toyota showed the Aigo Crazy (I go crazy!) concept which had a turbo 1ZZ-FE engine in the back, no rear seats, and RWD, fabulous!!! Bring it on, I want it now! :-)
