Home of the Toyota "86" (Hachi Roku) previously known as the FT-86, a lightweight rear wheel drive based sports car co-developed by Toyota and Subaru. Inspiration of its development comes directly from the legacy Toyota AE86. The Toyota 86, Scion FR-S, and Subaru BRZ promises to deliver excellent control due to the lightweight body and low center of gravity thanks to its flat four cylinder engine developed by Subaru.
FHI announced today the BRZ will go on sale in Japan starting March 28th!

Well, that didn't take long. The First Toyota FT-86 (a.k.a. Scion FR-S) has made its way to the dyno courtesy of the good people at HKS. How'd it do? The vehicle managed to spin the rollers at 170 rear-wheel horsepower, which dovetails with the 200 crank horsepower announced by Toyota and Subaru after calculating a 15-percent driveline loss. Of course, whenever HKS gets involved, you can feel safe betting your lunch money that forced induction won't be far behind. True to form, HKS showed off its handiwork on a drift car version of the new sports coupe from Toyota.
The FT-86 looks more than happy to dance through a few chicanes sideways, and we can't wait to see the vehicle go fender-to-fender with the best of them. Click past the jump to check out the dyno video for yourself.
At the Tokyo Auto Show, Toyota Racing Development announced their plans for aftermarket parts to hit the market for the highly anticipated Toyota FT-86 along with Toyota Scion and Subaru brethren.

Thought I'd share it here Here’s a new Subaru BRZ Black Edition By Prova that been displayed at Tokyo Auto Salon at this past weekend. Prova is one of the most Subaru tuner expert based in the Land of the Rising sun. The tuners teamed up with japanese automaker to create a bespoke edition of the new Subaru BRZ sports coupe.
This Subaru BRZ Black Edition will hit the market worldwide this spring according to the source and that this car concept supposed to be more mature tuning BRZ.
